Professor Darren Kirwin Lecturer at Royal College of Art in London

He holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Business from the University of Lancashire Business school. Darren has had a varied career and after training as a textile artist he worked as a designer in the UK and abroad. His teaching career includes lecturing students from degree level as well as teaching students in the post 16 further education and skills sector. He has a passion for education and training and after 15 years as a lecturer in a range of publicly funded and private colleges he has worked in management positions in three UK colleges. Currently he is employed at Waltham Forest College as the Head of Quality, Teaching Learning and Development with the responsibility for developing the teaching practice of newly qualified and experienced teachers. Passionate about finding new ways to develop teaching skills, he is responsible for introducing Practitioner LED Action Research into his current organization and this has led to more collaborative and peer driven staff development approach to teaching and learning at the college. He regards personal development and self education as a lifelong commitment and he is eager to learn about other education systems around the world.

Prof. Andrew Fairhurst H.O.D for EFL & Study Programmes

Prof. Andrew Fairhurst Head of Department for EFL and Study Programmes City and Islington & Westminster Kingsway College, London, UK

Andrew Fairhurst is an experienced Teacher Trainer, Manager and Coach. He has managed a wide variety of curriculum areas, including English for Speakers of other Languages, Teacher Training and Additional Learning Support. As a Head of Department with substantial amount of experience, he currently manages a team of ESOL and EFL tutors and is responsible for quality assurance and professional development of all teachers and students. Alongside this, he also runs the Teacher Learning Community in the centre providing a forum for staff discuss and observe aspects of teaching and learning. A qualified teacher, specialised in English Language Teaching, as well as a Cambridge-approved teacher trainer, he brings 27 years of experience of educational programme management to his training delivery. In addition, he is an LSIS qualified coach and professional mentor supporting staff from across the college.

Prof. Julie Wilson Lecturer in Core Skills

Prof Julie Wilson, Lecturer in English, has worked in the education sector for 20 years, in both large London colleges of higher education and in small training providers. During this time, she has predominantly taught English from Below Entry Level up to GCSE, but has also taught ICT, Research Methods and Study Skills to University students. She is currently working towards a Masters Degree in Applied Linguistics. Her BA (Honours) degree was a dual honour qualification, consisting of English Literature and Mental Health and, although this may seem an unusual combination, it has offered her a supportive insight into barriers experienced by many learners whilst, at the same time, facilitating their English development. Additionally, she has enjoyed the responsibility of managing a small team, working towards and achieving a positive Government inspection (Grade 2 ofsted). She also holds qualifications in the areas of coaching, mentoring and Special Educational Needs. (SEN).

Prof. Fostrer Joseph Deputy Head of Access, Business + Higher Education at Waltham Forest College

Graduated with a Bsc Hons Psychology Degree from University of East London and Masters in Education Management from Kings College London. Worked at various colleges such as Southwark College, College of North West London. Also, at a Sixth Form College teaching A level Psychology and at London Metropolitan University teaching Early Years Foundation Degree. In addition I was Interim Deputy at South Essex College, responsible for both FE and HE Departments. My main focus has always been the retention of the learners in order to increase achievement rates and raising standards to increase learner motivation, satisfaction of the course and that they can be the best that they can be.

Prof. Rachel Vieira Lecturer in English & Key Skills

Prof. Rachel Vieira – Lecturer in English & Key Skills is an English language Professors with international experience. She has worked in the UK in the private and public sector and also for a Japanese Saturday school, for an agency teaching Japanese stock brokers, teaching Korean bankers, study skills for nursing students and EFL for a broad range of exam preparation. In addition, she spent two years in Brazil, teaching Brazilian teenagers, young adults and preparing teachers for proficiency and COTE exams. She has worked as a Cambridge examiner for 25 years, an IELTS examiner for 8 years and a teacher trainer on CELTA and DELTA for 20 years. She also has a Master degree in English Language Teaching from The Institute of Education in London. She considers herself to be an international person, having travelled extensively and taught people from all over the world. This means she has first-hand experience in communications across cultures.

Prof. Evelyn Chronicle Lecturer in Business

Prof. Evelyn Chronicle- An outstanding lecturer, she has been teaching in the post compulsory sector since 2002 with specialism in Business, Theatre, & Travel - Tourism. Her successes have led to additional experience as a Teacher Leader and Advanced Practitioner, coaching, training and enabling others to improve their practice. In addition to her experience in the education sector, she has a host of operational managerial experience gained in the commercial sector-mainly in the retail and leisure industries. Furthermore, she has worked with and led a diverse range of people and is culturally aware, having lived and worked in America, the Caribbean and the UK.

Ms. Sangeeta Tomar

I pledge by the core fundamentals of GTEP that relevant skill sets can be acquired by leveraging the strengths of different nationalities making the individuals as global citizens. I am an academician, a consultant with NIFT with specialization in the area of communication design, soft skills and life skills. For past 15 years I have been extensively working in the area of cultural research and work trends in different countries of Europe as well as Japan, and skill based training and employability in entire South Asia with World Bank and SDF(SAARC Development Fund).

Ms. Rebecca Sudan A GTEP Trainer, image consultant and Educator

She works on a continuum ranging from designing and facilitating programmes for her Educational Institutes and corporates to help them build an influential image by being more self-aware, charismatic, stylish. She is Gender Sensitive and Confident. She has also conducted programs and sessions in the area of exploring image ‘inside-out’, body language & emotions, Art of public speaking, communication effectiveness, Trust empathy, social and professional etiquette for myriad companies, schools and universities.

He has acquired Business Experience in more than 10 countries, has an Impeccable Expertise in Marketing, Strategy and Business Development. Ashish has also provided over 2000 hours of training experience to middle and senior level executives. He is currently Developing and Training students to improve their employability skills that are best suited for 21st Century Global Workforce.
